Sathan Sollai Thattathe: A Classic Tamil Comedy Film
Sathan Sollai Thattathe (Do not disobey Satan) is a 1990 Tamil fantasy comedy film directed by Rama Narayanan. The film stars Senthil in the lead role, along with Pandiyan, Chandrasekhar, Janagaraj, Kanaka, S. S. Chandran, K. K. Soundar, Kovai Sarala and Ilavarasan in supporting roles. One day, while walking in a remote place, Sekar breaks the violin in frustration. To their surprise, a Genie comes out of the violin and introduces himself as Sathaiya. He was Emperor Alauddin's 12th Genie, who was trapped in the violin by a magician. He declares himself as the slave of the three friends and grants them whatever they wish. With his help, they become rich and successful. They also win Chitra's love and expose Madan's evil plans.
However, their happiness is short-lived as Sathaiya reveals that he has to return to his world after 30 days. He also warns them that they should not disobey him or else he will turn against them. The three friends promise to obey him and enjoy their new life. But soon they face various troubles due to Sathaiya's mischief and interference. They also realize that money cannot buy happiness and that they have lost their true friendship.
